In May of 2008, VOGUE opened it's doors to embark on it's creative journey to become a relaxing salon with an upscale feel, without the upscale price. While training under some of the greatest names in the business, she completed her Associate of the Arts from North Central Michigan College, and set her sights on a place her clients could call their home away from home. As a Level 3 stylist, she has a focus for perfection and an eye for detail. Marcia enjoys creating precision cuts, jaw dropping color, and creating a customized look for each individual that walks through the door. She really takes the time to get to know her client's lifestyles to create a look that will work for them, and will go above and beyond in making sure they can recreate the same salon perfect look at home. Outside of work, Marcia enjoys spending time with her family, her husband and her two pugs Gatsby and Daisy. She also enjoys relaxing with friends and a great glass of wine, boating, attempting to ski, living the great Northern Michigan life, and planning her next goal! |

It’s non-greasy and won’t weigh your hair down. It can easily be used in conjunction with other products, and acts as a thermal protector as well." Rachel Hoffman received her Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology and Sociology in 2004 from Alma College, with a focus on counseling. After working in the field for two years, she began to rethink her career path. Deciding that she would rather be in an environment where she would still have direct impact on people’s lives, but in a lighter atmosphere, she enrolled into the Up North School of Cosmetology in July of 2006. Receiving her cosmetology license in April of 2007, she began her new career. She received further training in Vidal Sassoon precision cuts and specialty coloring techniques, as well as up styling and special event hairdressing. Her new career choice provided the open and honest communication Rachel was yearning for, and also incorporated her creative self that was once pushed aside. Rachel joined the team at the VOGUE in April of 2009 and is excited for the new opportunities to come. She is committed to first and foremost listening to her client’s needs, and is determined to provide only the best in services when it comes to caring for their hair. When she is not at the salon, Rachel enjoys spending time with her husband, David, and her daughter, Avery, who was born in January 2009. She also enjoys traveling, reading, knitting, good coffee, socializing with friends and family, biking, Pilates, movies and is a wine enthusiast. |
